About

Located in the heart of Albany, Front Stoop Pocket Gardens provides landscape design and horticultural services all over the Capital Region and Hudson Valley.

Kate Brittenham (Owner, Landscape Designer) is an ecologically focused landscape designer who specializes in native plant species and container gardens, which include potted displays, patio trees, window boxes, and more.

Her foray into container design began while interning with the New England Wild Flower Society at Nasami Farm in Whately, Massachusetts. Nasami, a part of the of New England Wild Flower Society, focuses on propagating New England native plant species.

An aspiring plant hoarder, Kate found herself searching for ways to incorporate plants into her apartment. Unable to plant a physical garden, Kate began experimenting with native species in containers, with great success.

Residing in Albany, NY, Kate designs custom containers and landscapes for business fronts, public spaces, and private residences.
